Weekday Links

(I had planned on posting this last week but then the typhoon hit. This covers about 3 weeks worth of posts and articles that I enjoyed last September. It’s a bit hard to narrow it down so… I hope you like this long ‘list’. ๐Ÿ™‚ )

First up, our reader highlights:

If you haven’t clicked on to RumpyDog’s blog, you should. I had a hard time choosing which of his posts to highlight but for now, how about some poetry (about a dog named Beau) mixed in with a little nostalgia (c/o Jimmy Stewart).

While we’re on the subject of pets… Please,ย how can you not smile at this?

Or at the tree frog in this Freshly-Pressed post? (Yey!)

Or at this heartwarming story about a day spent volunteering at a feeding center for children?

Speaking of heartwarming, how about a cup of comfort soup?

You know that place called Manila? I heard they have glorious sunsets. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Although we don’t haveย cemeteries as pretty as this, haha.

I absolutely enjoyed thisย post on hit song covers. Who knew some of those commercially-successful songs could actually be quite good or, uh, so awful? ๐Ÿ™‚

A few links from elsewhere on the web:

Trust me, you’ve never seen an elevator like this.

Or anyย watch sculpturesย anywhere.

They say this is the world’s cutest dog. Bruno and Jigs beg to disagree, haha.

Finally, Floyd Mayweather’s usual mouthing off ‘inspired’ this hilarious column on the history of a**-kicking.

That’s it. I solemnly swear to make a shorter list next time. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I love when you share the Weekday Links – there is so much information out there and with your links I usually find one or two things I love. Thanks again for sharing:)

  2. OOO Tita Buds, you are my favorite reader (right next to my mom!)!! Scott and I call each other “Bud”, so every time we see that you have liked something we both look at each other and yell: “TITA BUDS!”

Thank you for the link! That was really, really nice!

    • Hahaha! Well, I hope you don’t pronounce it like cotton ‘buds’ though cause it’s more like ‘Boods’. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
As for your post, mount hope IS dope. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Woot! Tita Buds! repreZent! haha…. Only here in Rochacha. That cemetery is indeed unlike anything else. I used to live less than a mile from it that I was able to do my weekly run in the premises. At first, the idea crept me out but a lot of people jog and walk there. Some college students (like my sis) cut through to get from their apartments to the university. haha. But even now that I live a little farther away, I still pass by the cemetery everyday, morning and afternoon, to and from work.

    • Nagulat ka? Hehe. Good thing pala I linked to it here. Hay, how I wish our cemeteries here were more like that than one where action stars shoot silly action sequences in their inane movies, haha.

Talk to me: :)
